How do I place waypoints on the map in a multiplayer game?

Answer:
The Commander’s Map allows players to place their own waypoints. The player can place these waypoints by going into the Commander’s Map (by pressing V,) clicking the flag icon, and clicking anywhere on the map. This will bring up a text box where the player can enter the description of what they are marking. The waypoints are then displayed as text on both the map and on the horizon in front of a player and anyone who has designated that player as their Commanding Officer.
