Game installs but will not launch.

Answer:
If double clicking on the desktop icon to start the game, or from the icon in the start menu for windows causes an hourglass to take the place of your mouse cursor and then disappear, try this: First, if you have not updated the game, you will need to do so. Visit www.novalogic.com and go to the support page. Under support there is a section for Novalogic product updates. Go into this section and download the latest update for the Comanche. Then after downloading the file, double-click on the C4UPD8 icon to run the installer. When the updater request the location of the Novalogic Executable, go to the field that says "Look In:" and click on the down arrow and select C:\Program Files\Novalogic\C4.exe. Then click once on the first file that has the helicopter icon next to it. Then click on OPEN. This will start the update process. Once the update is installed you\'ll need to go to the folder where the game is installed via the my computer icon, and find the file "C4LAN". If you double click on that icon does it give you the same error? If it does let you go through the video test at this point and gives you access to some of the functions of the main menu, it means that the game is having issues checking the CD for information needed to use the normal game .exe file. You\'ll want to disable any programs running in the background of windows, check to make sure you have the latest patches and updates for your CD/DVD-ROM drive and possibly contact support for a replacement CD.
