Q: Where do I get my key to sign up for a NovaWorld account?

      A: After you purchase your downloadable NovaLogic game, you will receive a purchase confirmation email. Within this email, you are given an “ACTIVATION CODE”. This is your product key that can be used for online play. Certain games do not come with a product key because no key is required to join a NovaWorld game for that title. Games that do NOT come with a product key are: Delta Force, Delta Force 2, Armored Fist 3, F-22 Lightning 3, and Tachyon the Fringe.

Q: I bought the downloadable version of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and I keep getting kicked from the server because PunkBuster is required. Where do I get Punkbuster?

      A: You can get the latest version of Punkbuster from NovaLogic technical support at support@novalogic.com.

Q: Where can I find the JO/ DFX version of NILE Beta?

      A:  You can find NILE Beta in the Downloads section of www.novalogic.com.

Q: Why can’t I update my downloaded NovaLogic title?

      A: All NovaLogic games that are distributed electronically are the latest version and require no update. Also, NovaLogic’s electronically distributed games are NOT compatible with the regular update. This means that if you update your product, you may render it unplayable and you may have to reinstall. We have tried to disable the update process in all released titles. To avoid any issues, please refrain from using the update.

Q: I downloaded a NovaLogic title and found that I was missing the manual. Where can I get it?

      A: You can find the manuals to a number of NovaLogic titles in the Downloads section of www.novalogic.com. Manuals to the following titles are posted there: Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, Joint Operations: Escalation, Comanche 4, Delta Force and MiG-29 Fulcrum.

Q: I purchased a NovaLogic title through a website and downloaded it onto my computer (did not buy it on disc). Now I want a refund, how do I go about this?

      A: Contact the website where you purchased your game and they will address your refund issues.

Q: I have Vista, how will I know if a downloadable NovaLogic product is right for me?

      A: Be sure to visit the product page for your title on www.novalogic.com. In the product description, Vista-compatible products will be noted as such.

Q: When is [my favorite NovaLogic game] going to be available for download?

     A:  NovaLogic is working hard to make its entire back catalogue easily accessible to everyone in the form of electronic distribution. Some titles are harder than others to convert, so some titles will take longer than others. We thank you for your patience.

Q: Is the nlexepatcher.exe compatible with the downloaded version of [my favorite NovaLogic game]?

      A:  The nlexepatcher will ask you which version of the game you are running. As long as you answer the patcher’s questions correctly, it is completely compatible.

Q: I have the downloaded version of Tachyon the Fringe and I keep getting an error message when I try to play online. This message reads: “The application could not establish a connection to NovaWorld. Please exit the game and connect to the internet. If you believe that you are connected, click the Continue button to proceed.”

      A: Actually both the retail CD-Rom and the downloadable versions of Tachyon the Fringe get this error. This happens because of NovaLogic’s Network Operations Center move. To make sure that you are properly connected to NovaWorld, use the novapinger.exe.  This will let you know if you really are having connection issues. If you do not wish to use the pinger, you can press Continue to join a multiplayer game.

Q: When I host a Tachyon the Fringe game through NovaWorld, no one else can see my server. When I try to join someone’s game, I can’t see their server either. Why can I only see official NovaWorld servers?

            A: This is another unfortunate side effect of the Network Operations Center (NOC) change in location. Because of this massive server move, Tachyon players will no longer be able to host and join consumer games through NovaWorld. This affects both CD-Rom and electronic distribution Tachyon customers. However, LAN play and NovaWorld official servers are still available for multiplayer action.
