Play in the Final Lock N' Load Tourney on 10/27/99 and win Logitech and Labtec Sound Gear!

The final Lock N' Load tournament will commence this Wednesday.  Congratulations to the previous winners and the more than 3,000 contestants who have played in the tournament since it was started earlier this year.  As a salute to your accomplishments, we have invited back the previous tournament winners to compete in the final Lock N' Load this Wednesday.  An extra round will be added between the traditional Semi and Final rounds to give these champions a shot at the final crown.

The tourney is still open to all, first come, first serve.  128 standard entrants and nearly 20 previous champions will standby for insertion.  This should be the most intense Delta Force tournament ever.

The champion will receive a Logitech SoundMan Extreme PC Sound System!  The top three will each also receive Labtec Voice-Over-Net Compatible Stereo Boom Microphone Headsets as well as copies of Delta Force 2!  (See below for more details regarding the tournament).

The winner of this final tournament will be crowned King of all Lock N' Load Champions.  As we end this dynasty, we give birth to a new legend.

Introducing the Lock n' Load Deathmatch Tournament Series on NovaWorld
NovaLogic is currently hosting a series of NovaWorld Delta Force Deathmatch tournaments. 128 Delta Force operatives kick off each tournament on eight different NovaWorld battlefields. Three rounds of intense Deathmatch games are then played to determine the winner of the tournament. The winner is crowned champion and receives NovaLogic merchandise in addition to recognition on the NovaLogic's Hall of Fame Delta Force tournament site.

How to Enter
No pre-registration is required: 8 tournament servers are set up on NovaWorld according to the schedule below. Simply show up 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the first game of the first round for your chance to get into a game. The first round tournament games are located in the main Delta Force lobby. The first 128 players to join the games will automatically be part of the tournament. By joining these tournament servers, you will also be agreeing to abide by the conditions of participation outlined below.

Schedule of Games

Format
Games will be 16-player Deathmatch, with a time limit of 20 minutes (no maximum on number of kills allowed). The open round (first round) servers can be accessed without a password; the Semi-Final and Final rounds will be password-protected. At the end of the first round, all players except the top four (4) in each game will be asked to leave the game. Once only the top four remain, the password, game time and server name for the Semi-finalist round will be communicated to those players online. The top eight (8) players will be chosen from the Semi-finalist round to advance to the Final round. Again, all players except the top eight will be asked to leave the game, and the remaining winners will receive the password, game time and server name for the final round while still online. The winner of the Final round will then be crowned the champion.

note... All passwords are SQUAD passwords and must be entered in the squad password field within the Delta Force multiplayer game menu.

For each game, players will have access to the server 5 to 10 minutes before the official start of the game. The game will be refereed by a NovaLogic representative, and players will be notified when the game starts. At the official start time, the referee will reset the server, signaling the start of the game. Once a game begins, the game will be locked, prohibiting any new players from entering. If you exit or are dropped from the game for any reason, you will not be able to re-enter.

The winner of the tournament will be asked to remain in the game so that we may get their information to coordinate getting their prize. The winner of the tournament will get to choose from a selection of NovaLogic merchandise.

Scoring
The top players in each round will be determined based on their overall score for that round. If there is a tie, both players' number of kills will be considered, and the person with the highest number of kills will advance. If there is still a tie based on that criteria, an exception will be made to allow an additional player in the next round.

Code of Conduct
Warning: If you are a winner, do NOT share your password with anyone. The number of  "spots" on each server is limited to only the number of players who receive passwords. If you share your password, you will risk losing your spot on the server to someone else and will not be able to compete in the rest of the tournament.

At the end of each round, players that have not qualified to advance to the next round will be asked to leave the game. If players do not cooperate, they will then be "punted" from the server. If punted players attempt to rejoin, they risk being banned from future access to NovaWorld.

The cooperation of you, the player, is important in order for us to continue providing future tournaments on NovaWorld. By cheating, sharing passwords or being uncooperative, players are not only ruining the experience for others, but are also risking cancellation of this tournament and other future tournaments.

NovaLogic will do its best to resolve any disputes that may arise as they happen online. If however, you feel they have not been resolved, e-mail the dispute to squadplay@novalogic.com. It may not affect the outcome of that particular tournament, but may help avoid the same problem from happening in future tournaments. Your feedback is also important for us to continue providing tournaments that are both fun and fair.
